Hello!

I hope you're doing well.

I am using BF Registration along with additional form fields for guest users. There are instances when the user submitting the form is already registered on the website and when they try to submit the form, it shows user already registered message.

How can I skip account creation for such users and simply save the form data they entered?

Please guide me.

Hi,

this form is for registration, and if user is already registered he can't submit it again (this is the reason why this meesage is showed).

But here is another form which you can use when user is already registered:

I am not looking for a login form when the user is registered. I have a form with around 10 fields (including email/username/password). After submission it then creates an account for the user in case s/he is not registered.

I am looking for a solution that would skip only the registration part for users that are already registered. Is this possible? Please let me know.

I guess I was able to achieve it, simply by checking email from database in Begin Submit as:
$the_email_field = ff_getSubmit('email');
$dba_email = JFactory::getDBO();
$sql_email_query = "SELECT id FROM #__users WHERE email like '".$the_email_field."'";
$dba_email->setQuery($sql_email_query);
$userid = $dba_email->loadResult();

if (empty($userid)) {

// registration code goes here

}
