Wondering why I am seeing this: item.properties[key] in the Page edit section of a form.

Even after I have updated the content and saved this item returns.

I did discover that it's relate to the JCE Editor. I switched to TinyMCE and the content appears rather that the item.properties [key] . I'm not sure what the editor is doing.

The content does display properly even though I don't see it in the form editor

I have delayed upgrading to the latest build as I have custom code added related to the pdf export ( crosstec.org/en/forums/3-breezingforms-f....html?start=18#79167 )

I understand the upgrade will override by edits as noted in the link, so I'm worried it will not work when I re-add it.

yes - this seems to be a problem with different Editors on different Joomla! versions. Some get this code with the TinyMCE editor others with JCE but once the form is saved with the working editor it should work.


An update will overwrite your custom changes but this part looks the same so it should be no problem to re-implement it.

I'm getting that as well. There was a fix in prior revs to update the code in quickmode-editor.php
/administrator/components/com_breezingforms/admin/quickmode-editor.php
at about line 22 and change this line

if(testEditor == "item.properties.pageIntro" || testEditor == "item.properties.description"){

to this line
if(testEditor == "item.properties.pageIntro" || testEditor == "item.properties.description" || testEditor == ""){

But that is there (even a comment on the code to handle JCE - but I still get item.properties[key]

I've uploaded the latest version of JCE 1.85 from the Crosstec website and have applied it to my site but to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated.

is there any solution to this yet?

I'm having the same problem but without having installed the JCE Editor at all. Standard editor is Codemirror. When changing to no editor, the intro text code is shown without any problems.

Already switched to no editor, saved the intro text and then switched back to codemirror.
With codemirror I still get this: '+item.properties[key]+'
