I have a lifetime membership to Crostec and don’t mind investing in quality solutions such as your extensions. BreezingForms is the best form extension for Joomla which is why I’m asking for your help, and at the same time identifying an opportunity for Crostec to fill a void in the Joomla environment.
Since the release of Joomla 4 I’ve been in a difficult situation that has bound me to Joomla 3 and it’s ONE extension. My niche in web design is to construct websites that allow my non-technical clients the ability to easily maintain their own content from the front-end. To accomplish this I’ve built a business model around a Joomla extension called Form2Content. The creator of this extension has shut down development and will not be providing an extension for Joomla 4, however, he will provide the coding to anyone who would like to continue development for it.
Why I use Form2Content
- Ease of use from a client’s perspective. I have clients that are so non-technical they shouldn’t even own a computer, yet they are maintaining their own content on the website I built for them.
- Creates native Joomla articles (no issues with future migrations)
- Online forms obtain the content for the article and apply my template on submission
- Ease of use maintaining articles from a client’s perspective
- Templating that allows coding of 3rd party plug-ins such as All Videos, Simple Image Gallery.
- !! Images are re-sized automatically for both intro and primary !!
- Generated articles co-exist fine alongside Yootheme Pro
In the search for a solution I’ve found nothing in the Joomla ecosystem that comes close to the ease and flexibility of Form2Content from a client’s perspective interacting with it. Your CCK ContentBuilder seems similar but I notice it’s not compatible with Joomla 4 either.
What are your plans with CCK ContentBuilder and Joomla 4? Do you suppose you could possibly work with the Form2Content creator Patric Faasse and pick up where he left off combining BreezingForms? He stated in their forum "
We will be releasing all our code so any other keen developer can continue the work or branche it in any way" so obviously it's an opportunity to gain their [desperate] client base.
If you would like to to see the environment I work with I’ll be happy to provide you a zipped Akeeba backup of one of my sites to look at – or an admin login to one of them.
