I am new in BF with Joomla, and try to build a first form.

i want to ensure there is not already an existing record when i enter a field (e.g email adress).
I would like to check this immediatly after the input is done ( when the field loose the focus ?) and not waiting for the whole form validation.
Is there any way to request the database before form validation ?

you can do this:

If same email is already in database you will see error, the same you can do for every field

Well, as far as i have understood the code in the (helpfull) given link, the validation happens after submiting.
Either there is a way to request the database and load the results when the form is loaded (so i can use them with Javascript), or it is possible to send a request , check the database and return an answer to the form , when the field loose the focus ?
Another solution is to make a single field form, submit for checking, and show conditional second form depending on the check.
any advice ?
