I've come across a big bug

BreezingForms 1.7.3 Stable (build 744 backport 6)
Joomla 2.5.1

If another component is loading jQuery, Breezing Forms loads this code snippet in the page html

<script type="text/javascript">
jQuery.noConflict();
<!--

var JQuery =
var inlineErrorElements = new Array();
var bfSummarizers = new Array();
var bfDeactivateField = new Array();
var bfDeactivateSection = new Array();

If I disable all other components that load jQuery so that BreezingForms is the only one ...

<script type="text/javascript">
<!--

var JQuery = jQuery.noConflict();
var inlineErrorElements = new Array();
var bfSummarizers = new Array();
var bfDeactivateField = new Array();
var bfDeactivateSection = new Array();

Checking the 'Disable JQuery at conflicts' box has the same result but doesn't load jquery.min.js

Where is the component code located that I need to update to fix this?

Hi,

I am not sure where the bug is? The first block you mentioned is not part of our code.
If that really looks like this, then some other extension (or template) is altering the scripts output in a wrong way.
However, if you want to test this, then please open the file

/administrator/components/com_breezingforms/libraries/crosstec/classes/BFQuickMode.php

Please let me know what you found.

Regards,
Markus

Hmm, okay, I'll dig deeper.

I found something that looks similar on BFQuickMode.php but can't find where or why the jQuery.noConflict(); is 'relocating' in a sense. I only have a few components installed:

Admin Tools
Akeeba Backup
BreezingForms
extplorer
GCalendar < Thinking this may be contributing
JCE Editor
Kunena Forum
Phoca Gallery

Do you know if any of these may be causing the problem? I'll try and debug as much as I can.

Hi,
the noConflict line is located at approx. line 455 (depends on the version).
However, there you can see that is passed normally.

To determine if this is caused by something else, I would have a look in the html source if you find "jquery.js" or "jquery.min.js" more than once. If it does then it is more likely that the extension that is using this causing this issue.

My personal tip would be Admin Tool, as it sounds doing stuff in general way.

Regards,
Markus
