Joe Cool created the topic: activating/deactivating Submit button causes error

My form is giving me this error: SyntaxError: missing } after function body

And this form has been working for years with no problems.

What happened before the error occued?
I did change the page selection before. It was set to automatic next and back button for a 3 pages form with 3rd page as confirmation page.

I switched OFF the automatic page change to use a custom button for the NEXT page.

After searching through all scripts that where shown as cause for the problem, I never found any problem with these scripts (that I had not touched anyway)

So finally I made a new litte test form with 3 pages and auto next/back button.
I activated the form and tested -> worked fine
I switched OFF the auto next/back button and introduced a custom button and voila we had the same error!!!!
Breezing Forms is producing this error when switching of the page selection auto-function. It seems it does not delete all script and leaves some rest that is affecting the whole form!
PLEASE HELP IMMEDIATELY - I don't want to reprogramm al my great forms.

If SIN= "true" goto HELL;
else goto HEAVEN;

I found the error!
It is BREEZING FORMS, not any template or anything else!
Please check it yourself, follow these steps:

1. Make new form with 3 pages
2. Set 3rd page as confirmation page
3. Activate automatic page switcher next/back
4. Start form – go through – works perfect
5. Deactivate automatic page switcher and include a custom next button
6. Form Fails Error above will be displayed
7. Even if you reactivate the automatic page switch and delete the custom button the error stays!

The Error occures in the "form transmitted script" stored in SQL facile_forms "script2code": an additional "}" is being added to the script which causes errors in random places on the webpage.

Script found :
function ff_TestNext_submitted(status, message){if(status==0){ff_switchpage(3);}else{alert(message);}}

Script corrected and working:
function ff_TestNext_submitted(status, message){if(status==0){ff_switchpage(3);}else{alert(message);}

But YOU have to update the BF software to avoid this error, as I don't know what is causing it.
Regards
Thomas

Joe,

Thank you for your input regarding this.
As I could not reproduce this error I'm sending you my form where I replicated the Form by your guidliness.
Can you please check it and see if I have overlooked something?

Surley I'll pass this to our dev team so they can fix it.

Waiting for your feedback.

Mario
