I found the SecurImage PHP Captcha website . Uploaded their server_test.php. It shows my server is good for running Captcha:
www.asm-utoledo.org/server_test.php

Is this the program that was used for BreezingForms? Should I continue to explore their solutions to find the problem?

Hi,

since there is an output already happening it means that you fullfill the requirements.

The problem is like I mentioned before, is that the binary code is "somehow" altered in your case.

This odd behaviour is even new to me so we both should watch out for similar problems out of securimage and Joomla.

I would focus on the webserver, the fact that you are using a php-cgi version could be a lead, but I am not sure.

Keep me posted and I will keep you posted.

In the worst case you can still use Jollom or wait for my reCaptcha implementation in BF.

I think I ruled out server problems... I loaded the Secureimage folder.

The captcha image displays just fine on their sample form on my website:

Doesn't this mean that either the BF form coding for Captcha is wrong or the secureimage files have been installed in the wrong location for BF?

that's a good point, but then it wouldn't work at all, for no one. Maybe it is a newer version than the one in BreezingForms that solves some issues.

Auch ich habe immer noch das Problem, dass Captchas nicht mehr angezeigt werden. Dieses Problem besteht seit Version 1.6.5, davor funktionierten sie.

Habe sämtliche alten Captchas entfernt und neue zugefügt. GD und TFF sind auf dem Server vorhanden und aktiv. Php5 in mod fast-cgi. Andere Captchas funktionieren alle in anderen Extensionen. Downgrade ich auf 1.6.0 funktionieren die dortigen Captchas.
