It can't be set to work exactly like that.

What can be done is a list like you can see in demo views here crosstec.org/contentbuilderdemo/.

Then what you can do is you can use the Advances Search Module. Here is an explanation on how to set it crosstec.org/en/support/online-documenta...r-joomla-%C2%AE.html.

That way you can define select lists with possible search for wanted specific fields. You have to predefine the options that can be searched for.

The difference is that ContentBuidler will on page load show all records and then you can search through them.
