I was under the impression that the search would be able to create fields for searching in the contentbuilder list by typing something, but I can only see that it works when I provide a list of possible choices. I don't want to show the user the choices, we would like them to type a search term. Is this possible?

Hey,

I presume you tried using Advanced List Filter? There is the "normal" filter that acts as you said.

To enable it, in the Advanced options of your view, there is a Show filter checkbox so enable it. Check screenshot. That should give you the filter you need.

Let me know if this is what you wanted.

Kind regards,
Darko

Hi Darkocujic,

Thank you so much for your quick reply. This is indeed working, only when I use this filter, the list is visible. And I can't show the list because the user can only access the records from which he/she knows the right id number. So how can I hide the list and only show the records what is exactly searched?

Also the exact phrase is not working. When I only type 2 letters, the results already shows all the records which contain those 2 letters. So how can I make the search as an exact phrase? For instance if I want people to search for "John Doe" and only get the record "John Doe" when they type in the full name, now it works when they only type "Jo". Or do I misunderstand the exact match option?
