Hello, I'm just finding out the functions of contentbuilder, awesome component.

Is there any possibility of getting accumulated data simmilar to excel functions like SUM , COUNT, COUNT.IF, MIN / MAX?

I would like to make a summary page on collected data of a form.

Can you give me a hint?

Hi,

super!

Basically, ContentBuilder helps to collect data, stores it as records, and you can't currently use these excel functions in CB.

If you want some "special conditions" to display the data in the list you can control this is Item wrap code.

Sorry, this sound a little like Abacadabra to me.

example:
i have a form that collects a record with items 'date', 'number of hours' and 'type of exercise'
These are collected for each individual user.

on a summary page or in a module i would like to show to the logged-in user his or hers:
  • the number of entrees
  • the total of number of hours
  • the total of number of hours per type of exercise
userdatetypehours
a2020-11-13B1
b2020-11-13B2
a2020-11-11A2
b2020-11-11A1
a2020-11-10C1

So the summary for user a will look like:
  • the number of entrees: 3
  • the total of number of hours: 4
  • the total of number of hours per type of exercise A: 2
  • the total of number of hours per type of exercise B: 1
  • the total of number of hours per type of exercise C: 1

Could you give an example how to achive this with Item wrap code?

Or maybe you can treat this topic as a feature request?

Hi,

I am not sure for this, but I will test it.

Please, remind me if I forget to set up a solution for this :)

I found my way around it and want to share this with you.
Maybe you can convert this to a more generic approach.

I have written a module with hard-coded reference to the data-container (e.i. contentbuilder-database table).

it gives me the count / count.if / sum of some field which belong to the logged-in user.
This achieved by a sql-query, the result are displayed in the module.
this module can be placed in a side-panel, side-to-side with the contentbuilder view.

feel free to adapt it to your needs, will you keep me informed?

the table in use is: #__kaderlog with fields: datum (date-calender) / activiteit (group) / tijd (decimal) / omschrijving (text) / organisatie (textarea)
