codeworks created the topic: How to view ContentBuilder records on BreezingForm Template?

Hi,
In my ContentBuilder View type, com_breezingForms and Editable through BreezingForms as well.

Content Template selected the "Sample" option but record view is very tedious.
Is it possible to view each record in the list on the same Breezing Form Template?
Someone pls guide me...

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to view each record in the list on the same Breezing Form Template. Only editing is done through BreezingForms, and how you define the sample in the Content Template is how the record will look like.

You can try whether another Theme Plugin suits you more. Go to "Advanced options" in the "View" tab and choose, for example, "blank" as "Theme Plugin".

Then go to Content Template, erase the existing one and once again create Sample. Maybe that look of a record will suit you more.

Let me know whether this helped.

Thank you, Mihaela.

Using Theme Plugin I can get a better look of the record, but still, I have a problem.

On my form, I have few dropdown option fields for the user to select and when they submit, there are so many fields submit with empty values or sometimes with the default value1 or display value "PNG" with the elements did not use.

How can I hide them from the view when the user requests to view a single
record from the list?

What should I do?

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

If the issue is that values from select lists where nothing was selected show the first, default value you can solve that problem by defining the list like this:
0;Choose option;
0;Title1;value1
0;Title2;value2
instead of like this:
0;Title1;value1
0;Title2;value2
That way, if a user doesn't select an option in a select list that element won't appear in the record.

Let me know whether this resolves the problem.

Thank you, MIHAELA,

however, it doesn't solve all my problems - sorry.

Eg. When a user selects "Number of campuses" - 1 from a dropdown, A section of the form (one set of text boxes and dropdown) will appear for the user to enter that campus details. If the number of campuses is 2 from the dropdown, then the user gets two sets of sections to enter data.

My problem is now, how to hide all the other unused textbox element values like - N/A

Thanks!

Hello,

I've recreated the situation on my site and now I understand the issue that you have.

There is a quick solution for this. To make empty fields not to appear at all when a certain record is viewed do as follows.

Go to "Advanced options" in the "View" tab and choose, for example, "khepri" as "Theme Plugin".Then go to Content Template, erase the existing one and once again create Sample.

Basically, you need to change theme plugin once again since "blank" doesn't look like you want.

Let me know whether that resolves the issue.
