Chole created the topic: How to Apply Filters to a CB List View in New Menu Item

Hello,

I am using BF and CB successfully. I have created a new CB View on the Frontend. I need to apply Filters to some of the Elements when building the Joomla New Menu Item. Example: I want to display the record in list view on the Frontend ONLY if "date1" contains data and "date2" is empty. I don't know how to use the Filter syntax to say if the field is empty or not e.g. =Null or <>Null. I hope I am clear? I hope I do not have to use Java to do this?

Thank you.

Hello,

Please take a look at this example since here similar issue is addressed crosstec.org/en/forums/1-forums/123275-s...for-view.html#222254 .

So, to filter whether any value was entered in a filed you can use this "trick".
Put the following in Menu Item > List View > Filter > field related to wanted element:
@match/a;b;c;d;e;f;g;h;i;j;k;l;m,n;o;p;q;r;s;t;u;v;w;x;y;z

You can take a look at this examples for searching empty values using Advanced List Filter crosstec.org/en/forums/37-contentbuilder...k-search.html#213288 or this one
crosstec.org/en/forums/37-contentbuilder...ty-value.html#220888 .

Regards,

Mihaela

Thank you so much. I've tried your suggestions and have decided to use a separate form field, with a list of values, on which I can filter the required records for the List. It has actually proven to be a better than expected solution.
