bruce@brucedill.com created the topic: Changing the Position of Elements in List

I have a view with over 500 elements. I had to change the "Element" type in Breezing Forms to a "List" to a "Text" element. When I saved the view the elements appear at the bottom of the list.

How can I easily move these elements to the top of the list in the view?

Thanks

Bruce

Hi,

Inside BreezingForms elements > advanced options, you can see Order Number & Tab Index where you can adjust this.
I'm not sure if this will relate to CB View but it's worth a shot, other than that you will have to move this manually...

Mario

Mario,

I forgot to reply to this the other day. Your suggestion didn't work but it was a good try. There are over 500 elements in the form and we are not finished with the design. So far we have 500 views using the form and it would be so nice if we could have the elements in the views grouped together. Please let me know if you think of a way to do this but it takes too long to move an element 400 places up in the view.

Also, I have run into another issue and need some quick help. I will file a ticket now.

As always, I appreciate the excellent support you provide.

Hi Bruce,

Please try the following ( check my attach ) :

1) Find the last element in your list you want to move up.
2) In the "Order by" column type "0"
3) Press the button in the upper right corner ( check my attach under no.2)
3) This will move up selected element to the TOP of the list

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Mario

OK, that works great!

I'll give it a real test later today.

Thanks for the Christmas present! It will make things a lot easier to manage.
