I use BreezingForms with Google Recaptcha (invisible version) but lately have beens seeing alot of spam emails getting through.

Should I use the traditional Recaptcha where the user has to check a box or will it matter?

This only seems to be happening to my breezing forms.

recaptcha is ok (invisible or standard),but it is really hard to be full protect when form is online.

For better protection you can:

1) validate each field

2) use honeypot

3) protect your site with Spambotcheck:

4) integrate ProjectHoneypot.org:

I am getting completely slammed with spam on forms on one of my sites (20-40 per day) and have done all the things suggested.

I am not sure what else I can besides replacing the form with something another solution.

Does BF support ReCaptcha V3? That is the only thing I have not tried.

I suppose I could try IP blocking to see if that will do, as long as it does not block legitimate visitors

not yet, but it will be implement in next update of BreezingForms.

You can try to limit ips.
Go to your form->advanced->more options->form pieces->before form->check Custom and put:Please replace ips with your wantend ip, and change location which you want.

I've learned that it's easier to just use Akeeba AdminTools to block IP addresses instead of just on a per form basis.
