Hi,

You guys kindly helped create a form entitled GDPRForm which made an external call for an address search using an external service called ideal-postcodes. This works great.

I need to create another form that also uses this same external call, so I did the following:
Copy GDPRForm to GiftAid
Made no change to the initscript on the Post Code field (postcode_look)
In the form options under scripts I change function ff_GDPRform_init() to ff_GiftAid_init()

..but the screen is not behaving the same, please see the attached two screen dumps

You can see that the post code and address fields are not the same.
I have checked and double checked and cannot see how I correct this.

The forms are at
original: www.scottsproject.org.uk/governance/admi...tion-regulation-gdpr
new: www.scottsproject.org.uk/governance/administration2/gift-aid

The back end is: www.scottsproject.org.uk/administrator/

This message contains confidential information

Many thanks

Peter

Hi,

1) in the original form I can see that you have fields Post code and Find my address
2) in copied form I can see that you have post code, please enter postcode, and address field.

So , I am not sure that I understood you correct because Post code has size 100px, and address too, but address is textarea not textfield.

Sorry, if I missunderstood you

Regards,
Tihana

The new version has this extra field with 'please enter your post code' in it, and I can't see where it is coming from...

Hi,

I think I got it.
I set #idpc_input to display: none;

Please test it, and get back to me

The fields now look correct, but when the post code is entered and the button is pressed it creates the following error message: "Your postcode could not be found. Please type in your address".

Compare the function with the other form, it should work.

Thank you!

Hi,

yep, I saw, two forms are the same, but in one you have placeholder and additional fields.

So, I remove one fields, but I need to remove placeholder too.

Please test it
