Eddy.vh created the topic: Automatic closure of popup

Hello.

I have a form that opens in a JCE popup (mediabox). It works well.
I would like that when the display of the thank you page, the popup will close automatically after a delay of 3 seconds.
Is it possible.

If necessary, the ID of the div is: jcemediabox-popup-page

Thank you for your help.

Hi,

It's possible yes with some Javascript.
Let's say you are using "Last page is a thank you page" option for your form.

If you go to Scripts > Submitted scritp > You will see that BF automaticaly creates little piece of code like this :
function ff_pb_submitted(status, message){if(status==0){ff_switchpage(3);}else{alert(message);}}

You would jsut need to add :
setTimeout(function(){window.parent.close();},3000);

So your code looks like this in the end :
function ff_pb_submitted(status, message){if(status==0){ff_switchpage(3); setTimeout(function(){window.parent.close();},3000);}else{alert(message);}}

You get the idea....
Hope it helps.

Regards,
Mario

Hello Mario.

Thank you for your quick reply.
function ff_popup_submitted (status, message) {if (status == 0) {ff_switchpage (2); setTimeout (function () {window.parent.close ();}, 3000);} else {alert (message);}}

The popup does not close.

But, I thought about reloading the page with
function ff_popup_submitted (status, message) {if (status == 0) {ff_switchpage (2); setTimeout (function () {window.parent.location.reload ();}, 1000);} else {alert (message);}}

And it suits me very well but if an option is possible to close the popup, I remain interested.

Hi,

To close this pop-up window you would need to target it first.
var win = window.open("http://www.google.com");
setTimeout(function () { win.close();}, 3000);

So if you know the name of the variable that creates the pop-up, like in the example above win you should be able to close the window.

Mario
