Hello - I currently have a site up that utilizes breezing forms and content builder to display form information as a directory. I wanted to have a a function to reply to lister/listing in the directory. I need it to reply to lister of the item and perhaps cc administrator. Can this be done. Thanks!

Hi,

would it be fine if that reply would be a button that opens your email program when clicking on it?

If yes, then make sure to include the email field from the form in the list view and use this item wrap code (turn off linking for that field once the below is added):
<a href="mailto:{value}?bcc=someoneelse@theirsite.com">CONTACT</a>

Replace "someoneelse@theirsite.com" with the admin email.

Disadvantage is that it will expose the email, so this should only be used in non-public areas of the site.

If you need something more sophisticated than that, please let me know.

Regards,
Markus

Thanks for the response!
No I was looking for something more like a contact form. Something along the lines of a form that you would fill out in response to an add " contact seller". The link would then open a contact form and hide the info.

Hi,

you could create a separate BreezingForms form and link to it in a similar fashion:
<a href="index.php?option=com_breezingforms&ff_name=FORMNAME">CONTACT SELLER</a>

But then you would need to add 2 more things:

1) What do you want to use to identify the seller in the form? (like a record id, user id, username or similar)

2) Should the seller receive an email or check his contact requests in another CB view?

Regards,
Markus
