I have a multi page form. Where we want have the following features.

a) After submit has been done, users may not able to edit the form. In other words the submit make the form read only and kist one submission.
b) Every page should have a Save Progress button . This feature is not a clone with different label from the submit button due point a)
c) If a subscribed user return to the form, previous saved, he should come to the last page he/she visited before

This reply doesn't solve my 3 point questions. If I isolate this for point b) Every page should have a Save Progress button.

After creating and renaming a Submit button with the script : ff_submitForm(); doesn't work.

Please help.

Hello Jponce,

a) After submit has been done, users may not able to edit the form. In other words the submit make the form read only and kist one submission.

You can add this to the Actionscript of the last(final) Submit button:
function ff_ButtonName_action(element, action)
{
    switch (action) {
        case 'click':
ff_getElementByName('NameHiddenInput').value = 'final';
ff_validateSubmit();
            break;
        default:;
    } // switch
}

ButtonName = Name of the Button element
NameHiddenInput = Name of a hidden input element

Now use this example code in the InitScript of the Hidden input element:
function ff_NameHiddenInput_init(element, condition)
{
    switch (condition) {
        case 'formentry':
ff_getElementByName('NameElement1').disabled = true;
ff_getElementByName('NameElement2').disabled = true;
etc.
            break;
        default:;
    } // switch
}

This piece of code will make the elements NameElement1/NameElement2 readOnly.

b) Every page should have a Save Progress button . This feature is not a clone with different label from the submit button due point a)

c) If a subscribed user return to the form, previous saved, he should come to the last page he/she visited before

Here you can use another Hidden Input element which holds the current page number.

regards
Chris

Hi,

if you are using Submission editable by user-> the users need to be logged in.
Once they re-open the form again after the first submission, their old entries should appear, and user can continue filling out the form
