TOPIC:

We use Breezing Forms for applications to exhibit at a show. This includes submitting 5 images on a multi page form. It was working fine last year.

However, we are finding that some registered users are able to upload images which are saved correctly to a record; others complete a submission but no images are uploaded.

This is now live and critical to get right.

We have changed the image upload elements from standard to HTML 5 with Flash fallback as this at least allows progress bars so people can tell how long it is taking. Image file size capped at 1.5Mb. Some submissions take 10-20 seconds. Others are reported as taking many minutes, others do not complete at all.

Any ideas please?

please try to increase "Cache Time" And "Session Lifetime" in Joomla configuration.
(System->Global configuration->System).

I have increased both from 15 minutes to 30 minutes.

Also, we have this in the htaccess file:

php_value upload_max_filesize 1024M
php_value post_max_size 128M
php_value max_execution_time 600
php_value max_input_time 600
php_value max_input_vars 4000
php_value memory_limit 1500M

Thanks for replying. I will see if that makes any difference, but I had one user yesterday who said the form failed to complete on 3 separate devices - using his Mac desktop, a PC desktop and a mobile phone... I tested again yesterday on my phone and the form submitted correctly in under 30 seconds including images!

Still getting intermittent problems. The same issue from 2 different applicants this morning; 3 or 4 of their 5 images come in fine, but as an example for the couple that do not, here is the path the image is saved to:

/home/celebratingceramics/public_html/images/cc20-apply/2021_11_16_10_05_56_Image-2.jpeg
/home/celebratingceramics/public_html/images/cc20-apply/01ce0393889c8cbc0786da18f0031650_2021_11_16_10_05_56_Image-2.jpeg

For a successful image the path should be without the bold characters (which I have added for clarity):

/home/celebratingceramics/public_html/images/cc20-apply/2021_11_16_10_05_56_Image-2.jpeg

The clue must be in the random path before the timestamp?
