Hello, I'm using the method of sending email by department, as highlighted in this topic, and its working fine, but the issue is in the custom email notification I want to show the spesfic depart name, not the email address:

So in my custome email I added this:

Orgnization: {bfQuickMode3114304:value}

when someone select sales,
the value in the email notification shows in the department as: sales@yourcompany.com

how I can show the department (in my case I call it Organization) name like: Sales, or Information or Bug instead of showing the email address only.

crosstec.org/en/support/online-documenta...ifferent-emails.html

0;Bug;bugs@yourcompany.com
0;Information;info@yourcompany.com
0;Sales;sales@yourcompany.com

If you see in the picture snapshot, in the organization it show our email instead of showing the sales that the customer select.

So the value {bfQuickMode3114304:value} only pick the email address instead of the actual name: 0;Sales;sales@yourcompany.com

Which is: Sales

Hi,

You want to show title (Bug, Information, Sales).

By default this is not possible because in email is shown values of select list which are these email address, but there is an alternative:

1) Create another textfield element. Let's name it titleoforganization
There will be stored the name (title) of the selected option from the select list

2) Go to your select list -> Advanced tab -> Actionscript -> Type -> Custom -> Actions -> Change and paste this code in the framework:
function ff_nameofselectlist_action(element, action)
{
var a = JQuery("[name=\"ff_nm_nameofselectlist[]\"] option:selected").text();
ff_getElementByName('titleoforganization').value = a;
}
Please replace nameofseelctlist with name of your select list (not title)

Hope this helps

Tihana

Hi,

sorry my fault. I tested it now.

1) add select list to your form.
Define it like:
0; Please select;
0;Bug;bugs@yourcompany.com
0;Information;info@yourcompany.com
0;Sales;sales@yourcompany.com

2) add textfield or hidden input

3) go to your select list->Advanced->Actionscripts->check Custom->check Change and put:
function ff_nameofselectlist_action(element, action)
{
    if (ff_getElementByName('nameofselectlist').value == 'bugs@yourcompany.com')
 {
ff_getElementByName('nameoftextfieldorhiddeninput').value = 'Bugs';
}
if (ff_getElementByName('nameofselectlist').value == 'info@yourcompany.com')
 {
ff_getElementByName('nameoftextfieldorhiddeninput').value = 'Information';
}
if (ff_getElementByName('nameofselectlist').value == 'sales@yourcompany.com') {
ff_getElementByName('nameoftextfieldorhiddeninput').value = 'Sales';
}
} // ff_nameofselectlist_action
Please replace:
-nameofselectlist with name of your select list (not title)
-nameoftextfieldorhiddeninput with name of your textfield or hidden input (not title)

Let me know if you need more help

Hi,

I create an example for you.

File Attachment:

File Name: example233.zip
File Size:7 KB

Please download->unzip and install it (BF->Configuration->Package installer->select xml file->Install Package). After that form with name test223 should be in Manage Forms.

The code is in select list->Advanced->Actionscript.

When you select some value from select list, title is in textfield.

Hope this helps.

Tihana
