Hi,

did you copy that form probably in an older version of BF?
The only thing I can imagine that this is been a once copied form back in the version 1.8.x days, which caused bugs like that. With that bug, it would basically get the options of parent form.

It is solved, however the copied forms can carry over this bug.

If this is indeed the bug, you can export the form, rename the original one, then re-import. This would fix it (if this is the actual bug).

If it still flips back from BreezingForms to Bootstrap, I would need to see that myself because I don't see any way how that could happen once this setting has been made.

Markus

Thanks for the additional info Markus,

So I went ahead to follow your steps. However, when I went back (after the export) to rename the old form, I noticed I cannot change the name of the form - this also does not save.

So it seems my BreezingForms does not save anything, period.

I have also reinstalled the component, but with no luck.

I am lost for answers :silly:

Hi,

can you please check if the folder /administrator/components/com_breezingforms/ajax_cache is writable?

This sounds like BF cannot store the data there before it submits the changes (it chunks the data upon save into this folder).

You an also try using the FTP permission workaround in the Joomla config that tries to bypass ownership problems if it turns out that this is the issue.

Markus

Hi, I checked all - permissions are not an issue...

Ok, and are there any errors in the browser console when you click save?
That would be the last thing I could think of to check before I have to look myself what is going on there.

No, unfortunately not - I also wish there were errors so I at least know what is going on! haha

I also switched Joomla error reporting to max setting to try and find a solution - unfortunately, no luck.
