@MACROSS

This behavior is actually correct because if we'd allow to actually change the sender, your emails would most likely get blocked by the security system of your mail host.

The only thing that is acceptable is to use the reply-to.
Now it depends on the email client being used: some render the reply-to so it looks like the sender, some render the original sender but allow reply-tos anyway.

The only option we give is to that a site owner can change the sender like this
sender:name@address.com

But the purpose for this is having the ability to change the site admin's email address entirely. Which would be ok because because usually the domain is the same.

Doing that on field level will lead to said trouble as explained above.

Hope this clarifies things!

Markus

Hi Markus,

I was also searching for this option.
So if I understand you correctly, it is not possible to change the "From email" used in sending the notification emails for admin and mailbacks?

In this documentation: crosstec.org/en/support/online-documenta...68-admin-emails.html
There is mentioned a "Alternative From Email", but there is only the "Alternative From Name" field in the form options?

e.g. if my Joomla "From Email" is admin@domain.com, then it is not possible to change this in BreezongForms so that e.g. the mailback I recieve says its from e.g. user@gmail.com instead of admin@domain.com?

Hi,

you can change "Alternative Reply-To Email" in form => advanced => more options => mailback emails but not the actual sender (this is always the system's email).

This is because of spam reasons I mentioned earlier.

Markus
