mpgasser created the topic: Fill dropdown with data based on current user

Hi there

so I search the forum but i can't seem to get it to work. I'd like to will a dropdown with saved data from another form. Here is the code, but i don't get any entries...

$this->execPieceByName('ff_InitLib'); //Include BreezingForms Library
$db = JFactory::getDBO();//Get Database Object
$user = JFactory::getUser();
$userId = $user->id;

//Create your own query here
// Get record ID of logged in user's submission of the 'standard' form
$db = JFactory::getDbo();
$db->setQuery("SELECT id FROM #__facileforms_records WHERE user_id =".$userId);
$recid = $db->loadResult();

$db2 = JFactory::getDbo();
$db2->setQuery("SELECT value FROM #__facileforms_subrecords where name='petName' and record ='$recid'");

$result = $db->loadColumn(); //load the result from the query
$test = "0;test;test";
for ($i = 0; $i < count($result); $i++)
{
$test .= "0;".$result[$i].";".$result[$i]."\n";
}

function ff_setSelectList($name, $value)
{
global $ff_processor;
for ($r = 0; $r < $ff_processor->rowcount; $r++)
{
$row =& $ff_processor->rows[$r];
if ($row->name==$name)
$row->data2 = $value;
unset($row);
} // for
} // ff_setSelectList

ff_setSelectList('patient', $test);

Hello,

I assume that you wish to fetch more than one value to fill in the select list.
Therefore, you should not use:
$recid = $db->loadResult();
but
$recId= $db->loadColumn();

Because of this, the rest of the code has to be changed as well. Because in the rest of the code you have to look for more possible "records", not just one.

Please try using this code instead of the one you are using now:
$this->execPieceByName('ff_InitLib'); //Include BreezingForms Library
$db = JFactory::getDBO();//Get Database Object
$user = JFactory::getUser();
$userId = $user->id;

$db = JFactory::getDbo();
$db->setQuery("SELECT id FROM #__facileforms_records WHERE name='QuickForm702793636' AND user_id =".$userId);
$recId= $db->loadColumn();

$test = "0;Choose option;";

foreach ($recId as $value) {
    $db2 = JFactory::getDbo();
    $db2->setQuery("SELECT value FROM #__facileforms_subrecords where name='petName' and record =". $value);
    $result = $db2->loadResult();
    $test .= "0;".$result.";".$result."\n";
}

function ff_setSelectList($name, $value)
{
global $ff_processor;
for ($r = 0; $r < $ff_processor->rowcount; $r++)
{
$row =& $ff_processor->rows[$r];
if ($row->name==$name)
$row->data2 = $value;
unset($row);
} // for
} // ff_setSelectList

ff_setSelectList('patient', $test);
NOTE: Please replace "QuickForm702793636" with the name of the first form which was filled in and now you wish to fetch values.

Let me know whether this is working as you wanted.

Regards,

Mihaela
