Hello,

I wonder if it is possible to make a user with rights to only view reports when accessing
"Manage Records"

Thank you

Hello,

What you want is not a native functionality for the "Manage Records". By default, user will be able to delete the records and export them, not only to view them.

Nevertheless, using our free component ContentBuilder crosstec.org/en/downloads/contentbuilder-cck-for-joomla.html you can set up a view with a list of records where you can set permissions for the user to, for example, only be able to see and not to edit or delete the records.

This is a useful video about ContentBUilder
.

Also, you can take a look at this piece of documentation crosstec.org/contentbuilderdemo/demo-exa...oms-integration.html .

Let me know whether that might be the solution you were looking for.

Mihaela

Hello,

Thank you for your answer.
Yes it was wasI was looking for, maybe it would be even better to do the same thing from frontend.
I had a look here:
crosstec.org/contentbuilderdemo/demo-exa...iews-collection.html
What is the best way to do this?
Then I can keep the users out from backend :)

Thank you

Hello again,

Yes, you can do that in frontend.

You just have to follow the instructions from the video. Once you create a view and publish it, you can create a menu item for the List View to be visible in the frontend.

The difference in creating a view based on a form is that you don't create a Data Storage and you have to check the "Edit by Type" checkbox as explained in the article. Also, editing will be done through the form so you won't have to create a "Editable Template".

Here is a piece of documentation crosstec.org/en/support/online-documenta...f-view-creation.html also explaining how to create a view.

Make sure that you set the "Permissions" for the frontend properly in order for the view to work.

Let me know whether you have managed to set this for your form.

Mihaela
