alexxbob created the topic: HTML 5 upload not working on Apple devices

Hi guys,

Maybe somebody can help me to figure out how to fix my problem with uploading images in HTML 5 form on Apple devices.

In this form: www.svetpam.com/ru/form-public
I can’t choose a photo from my photo library. But I can take a photo and use it directly. (See attachment)

I’m trying to find a solution for almost 1,5 month and I still don’t know why I can’t upload images form my photo library. Asked Apple support and searched for a solution on different forums. No luck.

Do you have any idea how to solve this?

Not working on IOS versions from 9 to 12.2
Joomla 3.6.5
Breezing form Pro 1.9.0 Stable (build 928)
Content builder 0.9.91 (build 251)

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards,

Alex

Alex,

Please check this : crosstec.org/en/forums/5-bugs/125676-fir...m-camera.html#233173

I think this is the same "issue" that you are having.

Hi Mario,

Thank you for the link, I saw this topic already. And I have tried all possible browsers and i also tried 6 different apple devices and every device has access to the photo library. And I even resettled all privacy settings.

I was hoping that you maybe will see an error in the form. I understand that this is not easy to solve, because it’s not clear what kind of problem this is. But I just can’t figure this out.

Do you have any other idea what I can check or try?

Thank you in advance.

Regards, Alex

Finally found the solution. Looks like Apple changed the image extension in the photo library to JPEG.

The allowed image extension in my form was only JPG and it was always working, but now I had to add JPEG as “Allowed file extensions” on the “file upload” element to make this work.

By the way there was another image privacy bug in ios 12.1.3. I couldn’t see any photos in my library. After the update to ios 12.2 this was also fixed.

If someone will have same issue. This will help.
