Hi guys,

Hope you can help
I’ve updated the BF to 1.8.7 Stable (build 899)
and currently have a small issue :

- emails comes to the admin email from admin email? and not from user email

It was before like this:

From (sender) customer@gmail.com
To (receiver) : admin@mysite.com

but currently (after update)-

From (sender) : admin@mysite.com
To (receiver) : admin@mysite.com

Not convenient at all, as I can’t respond to the customer

How is it possible to resolve this?

Hi,

can you please test (especially receiving mailback mails) with the file attached?
Please download, unzip and copy into /administrator/components/com_breezingforms/libraries/crosstec/functions/

Make sure you are using the latest BreezingForms version before applying.

Behaviour change:

- setSender() isn't touched no longer

- setFrom() is now used as default, using the Joomla default email address

- Both "mailback as sender" AND Admin/Mailback "Alternative From Email" are now treated as reply-to addresses. Where "mailback as sender" for a field overrides the setting in the "Mailback Emails" tab.

- Alternative From Name stays as it is, this means:

- it should show the from name properly
- set the From address properly
- but as soon as "reply" is clicked in your email clients, and the reply-to applies, the answer goes to the reply-to address (from "mailback as sender" and "Alternative From Email")

As soon as you confirm it is working and especially Gmail doesn't mark it as spam all the time, I will add this to the next update, but changing the labels:

- Admin/Mailback Tabs: "Alternative From Email" will become "Reply-To"
- "Mailback As Sender": will become "Mailback As Sender (reply-to)".

Unfortunately can't read this topic - crosstec.org/en/forums/41-breezingforms-....html?start=6#185494 and can't find any attachments

And not exactly understand what changes needs to be made

The sender received the correct email , from ADMIN to their own email
But ADMIN still received and email from ADMIN , and not form the sender

Your help in this matter would be really appreciated

Go to your Email element of your form > Advanced > enable the "Mailback as sender" option and test it again.
