depends on what you want to do.

The way you defined your function is not valid for a custom validation, so it should go to the init script.

If you want to define a custom validation, you need to go into the element's options, check "custom" at validation and click "Create code framework".

This will show you how the skeleton of a validation function should look like.

when I place the my code into the init script of the hidden field paypalselect my next button stops working and does not let me get to my 2nd page which contains both the hidden paypalselect as well as the paypal button.

I feel as if this should be an easy task to accomplish all I want is:

if checkboxName.checked then paypalselect.value = 'XXXXXX'
else
paypalselect.value = 'YYYYYY'

but with my lack of js knowledge this is more complicated then I was hoping

I placed the code within the advanced options of the form under init script and labeled the function function ff_RPwifisignup_init() and it almost works.

It is over looking the if statement or viewing it as false.

this is the code from my if statement
{if (ff_getElementByName("addVenue1").checked) {
    ff_getElementByName("PayPalSelect").value = 'Product2|Two(2) Venues plus p&h|469.95|0';
  }

I was able to get it working under the paypalselect init script by calling it ff_PayPalSelect_init()

Thanks for all of your help! Great Component, and this support forum is one of the best i've seen for help, though the search doesn't always pull up everything.

I think a good added feature would be the OPTION to only record the form data to BF once payment is sucessful since there is the option for only email when payment is made

Happy to hear that. If you know a good Kunena search extension, I am open for suggestions!

If you use BreezingForms: Trinity, please post a rating and a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory:

I may have missed it entirely but i am trying to figure out how to take the total of 2 selections and add them together as a total so that way when you go to paypal it has the price allready input.

Example that i need help with is lots of form info but then you come to a field Adults (select box 1 adults through 5) then another select box children 0 through 5 where the price for one kid is 5 dollars 2=10 3=15 and so on. same with adults. What do i need to change to get it to just take those numbers and make a total to put into paypal.
