Hi

I have been using breezing forms for a while now but its still not obvious to me how to save out a form? Can you export and import a form?

Can you create a back up of just your form?

Thanks in advance
Mike

Hello Mike,

To save, in the backend:
1) Go to BreezingForms > Configuration
2) At the bottom, click on Create Package
3) Don't change the ID setting (leave it blank)
4) Choose a package name, version, etc.
5) Select the form(s), script(s) and piece(s) you want to export
6) Click on Continue: You'll be prompted to save an XML file (your browser might decide to block it, check for any warning about that)

To install elsewhere:
1) Go to BreezingForms > Configuration
2) At the bottom, click on Package Installer
3) Browse and select the file you downloaded before
4) Click on Install Package (big green button at the top-right)

That should do the trick!

(that's with version 1.6.5 build 725, but I think it has been working like that for a long time so you should be Ok regardless of your version).

Please excuse my ignorance, Im still fairly new to all of this.

Is it possible to export a form from Breezing Forms and then import it into a Non Joomla site? Eg, a Dreamweaver site. I realise you would have a database to do this, but have no idea how to go about it? Or is there another variation of BF that could perform this?
Sooner or later Ill get the hang of this.

Ahhhhhhh... I thought you meant export it from one joomla site and import it into another joomla site :-)

I don't think there's any easy way to do this. You could always look at your form in Joomla's front end (i.e. look at the form as a visitor of your joomla site), right-click in the page's background, and choose "View Source" (or something like that) then copy the form code etc. to your other application, but you'll also need to deal with some javascript and css files just to name a few things.

Just use Joomla and BreezingForms on all your sites, it will be easier ;-)

This was the exact topic I was looking for, only I'm still having problems.

I'm exporting my form and then reimporting it in another site, however when I go under Manage Forms, my imported form is not on the list.

Am I missing a step in reusing my imported form in another site?

Thanks!

if that happens, open your xml file and add an ID to the <FacileForms> tag, such that it starts like this

<FacileForms id="myid"

then import again
