Thank you for putting this Joomla extension together, it has been working great!

A quick question, how do I redirect user to another page once they hit submit on the form?

Thanks.

I would also love to know this.

Currently when a form is submitted a box says that the user will be redirected to the home page, but this does not work. Would prefer to go to a confirmation page instead - is this possible?

thanks :)

Hello from a BreezingForms newbie...

I too need to do this but it would seem that I cannot figure this out. I took a look at the solution but cannot figure out how to implement this at all. Here is what I want to do...

1. User fills in form (page 1 & 2)

The submit button is scripted to ff_validate_submit

Currently when the user hits "Sign Me Up" it validates fine and submits fine. Then it reloads the form. Now if it can reload the form why can't it send a user to my "Thank You" article in my Joomla articles? Isn't there a way to insert a simple line of script into the ff_validate_submit script?

Something like:

function ff_validate_submit(element, action)
{
error = ff_validation(0);
if (error != '') {
alert(error);
ff_validationFocus();
} else
ff_submitForm();

ff_redirectThankYou(
'{mossite}/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=5&Itemid=15',
'get'
);
} // ff_validate_submit

Would this work?

Alternatively, it would seem that there are "pieces" - one that does a redirect to a page URL. However I cannot for the life of me figure out where I would place this in a script...

Thanks for any answers you could provide. Please help - this is driving me nuts...

PS - the Thank You page article has a nice javascript to autoredirect back to the Frontpage article after 20 seconds so I want to use it...

Best regards,
Larry

I found my own solution - Breezing forms redirect to a thank you page after submission of a form using breezing forms 1.7.

Bascially i needed a way to setup a URL Goal with Google Analytics and my solution works.

The Solution.

In Joomla Admin go to Components > Breezing forms > Manage Scripts >

Find "Show submitted status" click to edit this entry.

In the code entry section put the following.
function ff_showsubmitted(status, message)
{
    alert(message);

       ff_redirectParent('http://www.yourwebsite.com/thankyou.html','url');

} // ff_showsubmitted

Hit save.

Now...
  1. Joomla Admin Components > Breezing forms > Manage Forms >
  2. Click on the form name column of your desired form to edit.
  3. Click on the Scripts tab, in the Submitted Script area click on Library and select FF::ff_showsubmitted
  4. Click on Save.
Complete.

Now test your form.

lasdesign, your solution is the closest i've gotten to figuring this out.
The problem i'm facing is that I have got about 10 different forms, which I am trying to setup as goals on Analytics.

Therefore, I need to redirect to 10 different thank you pages.

Any ideas?

In the following: try adding a php if statement

function ff_showsubmitted(status, message)
{
alert(message);
// retrieve form id: from input form. <input type="hidden" name="ff_form" value="11"/>

if (formID1){
ff_redirectParent(' www.yourwebsite.com/thankyou.html#1','url ');
}
elseif(formID2){
ff_redirectParent(' www.yourwebsite.com/thankyou.html#2','url ');
}

} // ff_showsubmitted

Hope this helps.
A good developer should be able to get this done in 30 minutes.
