you should use <?php echo $MAILDATA[0][_FF_DATA_VALUE]?> where the number "0" represents the number of the filed in the form .. i'm using like 40 fields in template

It's much easier, I found out how it works. For everybody that has the same problem or just wants a few fields from the form in your email here is the way it works.

Add this code

<?php
defined('_JEXEC') or die('Direct Access to this location is not allowed.');
$field = array();
foreach ($MAILDATA as $DATA) {
$title[$DATA[_FF_DATA_NAME]] = $DATA[_FF_DATA_TITLE];
$value[$DATA[_FF_DATA_NAME]] = $DATA[_FF_DATA_VALUE];
}
?>

Then add this code with you field names (below example Merk is the field name)

<?php echo $value["Merk"]?>

Read all the pages, but have a slight problem I can't seem te solve:
I used one of the great e-mail designs I found here and it works like a charm if I override the mailback.html.php file.
Than I found that if you rename it to the name of a specific form, it would (only) be used by that form directly. Unfortunatly it does not. When I do, I get the default mail (as a recipient).
I notices I could also specify an email back file in my forms. Should I use this, and if so how?
For the record, I renamed my file to "formname.html.php". Is this correct?

Don't mind to use one "standard" mailback form, but that's no reason to limit the options...

PS: I payed for a subscription plan because I believe this is the best form builder to get. However I still do have a remark: Increase your price a bit, save the money to take some time off and use this time to write a full! quide. This way newbies like me do not have to strugle that much :)

Ok I have a new problem, the custom mail with mailback is working ok but now I want to change the from mailadres.
I have seen the turorial and it works if you don't use mailback but how can I integrate this with my mailback setup?

code used for changing the from adres, change in the form properties send options.

$this->execPieceByName('ff_InitLib');
$from = '**@***.nl';
$fromname = '**';
$recipient = '**@***.nl';
$subject = 'Welcome';
$body = '';

foreach ($this->maildata as $data) {
$body .= $data[_FF_DATA_TITLE].": ".$data[_FF_DATA_VALUE].nl();
}

$this->sendMail($from, $fromname, $recipient, $subject, $body);

This doesn't work

<?php
defined('_JEXEC') or die('Direct Access to this location is not allowed.');
$field = array();

$this->execPieceByName('ff_InitLib');
$from = '**@***.nl';
$fromname = '**';
$recipient = '**@***.nl';
$subject = 'Welcome';
$body = '';

foreach ($this->maildata as $data) {
$body .= $data[_FF_DATA_TITLE].": ".$data[_FF_DATA_VALUE].nl();
}

$this->sendMail($from, $fromname, $recipient, $subject, $body);

foreach ($MAILDATA as $DATA) {
$title[$DATA[_FF_DATA_NAME]] = $DATA[_FF_DATA_TITLE];
$value[$DATA[_FF_DATA_NAME]] = $DATA[_FF_DATA_VALUE];
}
?>
<div>

so separately everything works but I need to change the from field from my mailback setup.
