ALRA1 created the topic: Exporting Records in PFD (Page Breaks)

When I select multiple records to be exported to the PDF format it provides all of them in one continuous string of rows. In other words one pdf page can have part of two records on the one page.

Is it possible to have each record on their own individual page so the separation if clearer. I'm not sure if it requires a hack in the php file that forces page breaks.

Otherwise the only way to to this is to export each individually and then combine then using Adobe Acrobat.

Hello,

Yes, it is possible to have each record on their own individual page so the separation is clearer.

Here are instructions on how to make it work as you want.

Please locate the file in Joomla root\media\breezingforms\pdftpl\ named export_pdf.php.
That file is in charge of generating the PDF template for PDF exports in Manage Records and therefore changes in that file are needed.

I'm sending you a zipped export_pdf.php file with the necessary changes. Please replace your current file with the one that I'm sending you.
Please, make sure to backup your current export_pdf.php file so you don't lose it in case it will be needed, for example, save it as OLD_export_pdf.php file.

Let me know whether this worked as you wanted.

Regards,

Mihaela

Hello again,

I'm glad that this solution worked for you. :)

For now, we will leave it as it is. This change can easily be applied when needed. To a lot of users, previous PDF layout is good. Thank you for the suggestion.

Best regards,

Mihaela
