gcom created the topic: Attach uploaded file to custom form (via submit pieces)

Hi,
I have a form that sends a customized message to the admin. The form is sent via submit pieces -> end submit and contains a hidden xml part that is to be read by a crm software. (that's why I used the custom code in the submit pieces)...

Now users are supposed to upload a file that must be attached to the admin email. I have included a file upload field but ist seems, BF won't even upload the file at all, at least in my media/breezingforms/upload directory there is nothing. Will the upload field work with custom email code or will I have to insert anything else in order to attach the file to the email?

Hello Mario,
I use the standard submit button, so no custom button is involved. The name of my upload element is 'pdfupload'.

Best Regards

Hi,

I think you are missing bfDoFlashUpload instead of ff_validate_submit.
For now I did this on your pdfupload form :

1) Form Properties > Include submit button > set it to "No"
2) Go to Submit button advanced options > ActionScript> Custom > Check "Click" > Press " Create Code framework" and add bfDoFlashUpload() it should look like this :
ff_Submit_action(element, action)
{
    switch (action) {
        case 'click':
bfDoFlashUpload()
            break;
        default:;
    } // switch
} // ff_Submit_action

Upload should work afterwards. Let me know if it does work.

Regards,
Mario
