willowtree created the topic: 403 error when using contentbuilder

I have a simple form that seems fine. I have tried to add a view of the records with content builder.

Once the content builder view is published, I get a 403 error on the form page?

Am I doing something wrong?

Hello,

Please check the following to see whether it resolves the issue:

1. Make sure to publish this view.

2. Check if you have set the permissions properly in the view. You need to allow to view the records otherwise "You are not allowed to add new records" error message will be shown.

Let me know whether this resolves the issue.

Hello,

I assume what might be the problem in your case so here is an explanation for this.

If you have only one ContentBuilder View related to this specific form and in permissions tab you haven't allowed users to add NEW records (meaning you haven't checked the checkboxes in the "New" column under the Frontend permissions) you will see the 403 error when accessing the form.

Therefore, you need to allow the users to add "New" records and then the form will be properly shown and it will work as it is supposed to.

Let me know whether that resolves the issue.

I changed something with the permission but 'm not sure exactly what. It works now though.

Thank you

Hello,

I'm glad that changing the permissions resolved the issue.
