Hi Darkocujic

Please allow a question that extends this topic a little. We're currently also using an optional (not mandatory) select list like this:

1;Please select;
0;Select option 1;Select option 1
0;Select option 2;Select option 2

Right below we have radio groups that are turned on depending on the option selected above:

0:Radio option 1a;Radio option 1a
0:Radio option 1b;Radio option 1b

and

0:Radio option 2a;Radio option 2a
0:Radio option 2b;Radio option 2b

This works fine - awesome!

But now, if the placeholder is selected again (1;Please select;) the radio group won't disappear. Even though we have a display rule, that doesn't work:

turn on radio1 if select is Select option 1
turn off radio1 if select is Please select

Do you know what I mean? Can this be achieved?

Thanks & best regards

Hello,

I have answered on the ServiceDesk ticket that you have created so we can continue our communication there.

Here is what I have answered:

This is not working because the validation rules are looking at what is the value of the selected option in the select element.
Option's value is what comes after the second semi-colon, so for the first option it is not "Please select" as you have written in visibility rule:
turn off radio1 if select is Please select
In this case it is an empty value, but you can NOT write a visibility rule like this:
turn off radio1 if select is
Therefore, I suggest you try using this visibility rules:
turn off element radio1 if select isnot Select option 1
turn on element radio1 if select is Select option 1

Let me know whether this is working as you wanted.

Regards,

Mihaela
