Hi,

I have a BF that is embedded in an article using the BF plugin ie. { FacileForms :MoreInformation}

The form displays correctly in the article but I need to pass a variable in the URL such as &name=david. How can I pass this on through to one of the text input fields on the form?

Thanks,
David

Okay, I did see that, but I'm not sure how to get the URL parameter into the &ff_param contruct. If the URL parameter is &name=david, can I do somthing like this:

{FacileForms : MoreInformation, 1, 0, &ff_param_name=&name}

Thanks for the help,
David

Hi,

aaaah so the parameter is passed to your article?

If yes, then you don't need it, you just do this then in the value a lets say a textfield:
return htmlentities( JRequest::getVar('name','') );

I am trying to do this. Here is my situation. I am using menu items to call a form. Based on the menu item, I want different params passed to the form, and to populate the approptiate value in the form.

For example, if they click "Book a birthday party" link, I would like to send '&party_type=Birthday'.

Where do I define this so that it gets put into the URL? (please be specific).

And, how will I can I be sure my form will look for these params and use them instead of forcing the value to blank?

Thanks!
