tyekynan created the topic: Pass Values via URL

I have searched this forum up and down to no avail. Here is what I am trying to do. I had it working with RSforms, but because of the support here, I am switching everything to Breezingforms.

In Content Builder under the content template section, I have created a button that goes to a URL.

I want to pass values to a new form via this URL. When I click the button, it takes me to the form, but I can't get it to insert values into the fields. They just stay blank. Here is an example of my button.

<a class="btn" href="rental-contract-form?option=com_breezingforms&ff_name=rental_contract_insurance_agreement&name_field={name_field1:value}" type="">Send Contract</a>

What is wrong with my url that it won't add the value? I have tried the field name, I have went into the HTML and used the element ID. Nothing seems to be working.
?option=com_breezingforms&ff_name=rental_contract_insurance_agreement&name_field={name_field1:value}

I finally figured this out. Here is what I did:

Form Name: TestForm
Field 1: name
Field2: date
Field3: phone

In Content Builder your URL will look like this:
www.mywebsite.com/TestForm?name={name_fi...e={phone_field:value }

In your breezing forms edit form area, you will put this as your value for your fields:
name
Value : <?php return JRequest::getVar('name'); ?>

date
Value: <?php return JRequest::getVar('date'); ?>

phone
Value: <?php return JRequest::getVar('phone'); ?>
