GalanopD created the topic: Clear form script runs later than it should

Hi,

Here is the issue I came up with.

1. User chooses between 2 radio buttons.
2. Then, visibility rule opens an element called 'plan' (select list) which has the following script:
function ff_plan_action(element, action)
{
    switch (action) {
        case 'change':
        if(ff_getElementByName('plan').value == 'value1','value2','value3','value4'){
           ff_getElementByName('value1types').value = 'select';
           ff_getElementByName('value2types').value = 'select';
           ff_getElementByName('value3types').value = 'select';
           ff_getElementByName('value4types').value = 'select';
        }
            break;
        default:;
    } // switch
} // ff_plan_action

3. User has 4 element options in 'plan' element (value1, value2, value3, value4). According to one of these choices another element appears with further choices that make sections and elements to appear with visibility rules. For instance, if he chooses value1, the element value1types appears. If he chooses value2, the element value2types appears, etc.

As you can understand, 'plan' element shows 'select' in the first place waiting for user selection. When the user makes a choice (value1, value2, etc), script should run to reset values of the next elements (value1types, value2types, etc)... but it doesn't do it immediately!

The problem is that when the form appears on the screen for the first time, the user goes up to step 3 above, the script hasn't run, the form is completely visible and the user starts filling out the form but suddenly after a few seconds, the 'plan' element script runs and sets value1types, value2types, value3types, value4types to 'select' which hides the sections and elements of the form! Only 'plan' element with user's choice e.g. value1 and value1types (value1types showing 'select') remains, which 'select' due to visibility rules hides sections and elements!

Any ideas for the script in 'plan' element to run immediately when user makes his choice BEFORE he makes his choice on the next element e.g. value1types, value2types, etc ?
