jamesashton20 created the topic: Breezing form stopped submitting

Good Morning!
I've used BreezingForms Lite for years and years, and this is the first time i've ever had an issue.

Initially, all my forms stopped submitting, weren't writing to the database table, not sending emails.
I updated to the latest version of BF.
Still no joy
I updated to the latest version of Joomla
Still no joy
I've uninstalled the scripts and pieces and reinstalled them.
I've uninstalled BF and rolled back to an earlier version
No joy,
Upgraded again.

I've installed jQuery Easy
The forms still don't work in the website where they always have.

The forms work PERFECTLY in 'preview or site preview' but not on the actual website.

There's two main issues.
1. Clicking submit on the form here www.leedstemplars.org.uk/christmas causes the page to refresh and not data to be sent, form is 2 pages with a thank you page.
2. Clicking submit on the form www.leedstemplars.org.uk/join produces a javascript error regard ff_validate_submit is not defined.

I'm really stuck now, these seem like two seperate issues i've never experienced before
I've uploaded

File Attachment:

File Name: mypck_001.xml.zip
File Size:26 KB
the package file with all the forms as i believe none of them are working

Hope someone can help please
james

Hello,

You wrote "The forms work PERFECTLY in 'preview or site preview' but not on the actual website.". Is the page with the error "ff_validate_submit is not defined" also working properly in backend?

Since your forms are working properly in backend, please try to run the form in iFrame and see whether it changes anything.

If you're linking your form directly with the Menu Item, please do the following:
Go to the Menu Item > Add Form tab > Run in iframe > Yes.

If you're embedding the form inside an article, please do the following:
Go to Extension > Plugins > BreezingForms > Use IFrames > Yes.

Also I think you will need to set your iFrame height to 100% so your form is rendered properly.
Go to your forms Advance Options > More Options > Autoheight iFrame and set it to "on" + set the width to 100% also.

Let me know the result.

Regards,

Mihaela

Hi Mihaela,
First, thanks so much for the fast response!

iFrames fixed the issue with /christmas
however it's now in an iframe! (border, box and everything) and it's lots it's pretty 'submit' button. is it possible to not use an iframe? ideally i'd like not to.

I tested the /join in the back end and this doesn't work in preview or backend.
sorry, i should have tested this first.

Hello,

I assume that something in your template was causing the form not to work in frontend and therefore running in iframe solved that. If it's a JavaScript conflict, then some other third party component is causing the issue. It could be some plugin as well.

I can only suggest you to try using another template to see if the form will work if you don't want to run form in iframe.

Also, here are instructions how you can use CSS in a form that is running in iframe: crosstec.org/en/support/online-documenta...css-for-iframes.html .

Regarding the join form, are you using any custom scripts? Do you have some validations set?

Regards,

Mihaela
